Arlington Companies Named Some of the Fastest Growing in the Region

Arlington companies are well represented as being some of the fastest growing in the region. The Washington Business Journal is out with its annual Fastest Growing Companies rankings, and six Arlington companies made the list – with two in the top 10. The list is ranked by a company’s average percent change in revenue between 2017-2019. Companies of all sectors were included for consideration.

Leading the Arlington honorees is Clarendon-based Royce Geospatial Consultants, Inc. (Royce Geo), which landed in the #5 spot after recording a 177.2% increase in revenue. Royce Geospatial specializes in the geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) market, to include tradecraft and training but also provides enterprise IT services, including software application development / deployment, global unified communications and audio-visual engineering.

In discussing the company’s growth during a time of pandemic, Sterling said communication and planning were key. "During the pandemic, we were very prepared,” he said, noting the company’s clients and employees around the globe. “We were no stranger to Zoom, Teams or Hangouts and never skipped a beat. This was very instrumental for our team, both from an execution and morale standpoint. Culture, teamwork and communication are of high importance, already being comfortable in a virtual world made the transition fairly easy. Arlington is my home and being able to work / live in the same city is great.”

Also in the Top 10 of the Fastest Growing Companies is Fonteva, a cloud software company based in Ballston. Fonteva earned the #10 spot by delivering highly configurable membership, events, and eCommerce applications on an innovative platform that can easily scale and quickly integrate with other business solutions.
